Sheriff Billy J. Murray is proud to announce the graduation of (4) four investigators from the Alabama Investigator Academy.

Investigator Buddy McBride, Investigator Trent Cox, Investigator Alec Bosworth, and Investigator Wayne Knight.

The Alabama Investigator Academy is a partnership between the Center for Best Practices in Law Enforcement at Jacksonville State University and the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission, the program is the first of its kind in the state.

The state certified academy provides specialized training in investigation topics such as crime scene procedures, death investigation, interviewing techniques, criminal law procedures, case file preparation, and courtroom testimony.
