Drug Trafficking Arrests Made
The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two people for drug trafficking on Tuesday after eluding law enforcement during a short pursuit.
The St. Clair Drug Enforcement Unit was in possession of four (4)drug trafficking warrants for Ke'yon Atkins.
Ke'yon Atkins, a 20-year-old, and Raishean Garrett McCoy, a 34-year-old, both from Birmingham, were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and eluding police.
The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit recovered approximately 442 grams of methamphetamine (15 ounces) and a loaded handgun.
Atkins was charged with six counts of drug trafficking and eluding law enforcement. He is currently in the St. Clair County Jail with a $6,001,000.00 bond.
McCoy was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and eluding law enforcement. He is currently in the St. Clair County Jail with a $3,003,500.00 bond.
