Scammers are calling and texting people identifying themselves as someone who is employed at the Sheriff's Office. These scammers are threatening people with arrest warrants and asking for fines to be paid.
This threat is used as a scare tactic.
Please be aware of this scam and do not give anyone your personal information, credit card number and do not go purchase money orders or gift cards to pay any fines!
The Sheriff's Office will never call you and tell you that we have a warrant for your arrest and will never ask you for money, credit cards, or gift cards for any reason!
PLEASE BE AWARE AND BLOCK UNWANTED PHONE NUMBERS!
