Shooting incident during a repossession in Pell City

Last night, around midnight, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on Chula Vista Drive in Pell City, where a shooting incident had taken place during the repossession of a vehicle. Two men with repossession orders went to a residence on Chula Vista Drive and took possession of a vehicle. Upon leaving with the vehicle, the owner came out of the residence and began shooting and striking the occupied tow truck. The victims made a report, and the St. Clair County Criminal Investigation Division was on scene to conduct the investigation. 

Allen Lane Thomas, a 79-year-old, w/m from Pell City, was arrested on scene and charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is currently in the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City with a $180,000.00 bond.
