The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office hosted a multijurisdictional K-9 training event at the Sheriff's Training Center in Ashville yesterday.

The St. Clair County DA's Office was present to answer questions about laws, probable cause, and search warrants. Our friends and instructors at Kip Canine Inc.  David and Jim Latimer were on hand to help with recertifications, and Criminal Interdiction Instructor Alex Gonzalez spoke about case laws.

These dedicated handlers and their K9's work very hard to keep their skills sharpened to effectively perform their duties and fight drug crimes.                           

Heflin PD, Moody PD, Ragland PD, Crossville PD, Warrior PD, Argo PD, Pell City PD, Odenville PD, Lincoln PD, Munford PD K-9 attended the class and a few teams received recertifications.
