Event: Search warrant executed in Steele

Arrested: Kody Lee Salzer- 38 yo, w/m of Steele

Heather McElroy-22 yo, w/f of Steele

The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the St. Clair County SWAT Team, Pell City PD, and Ragland PD served a search warrant at the residence of Kody Lee Salzer and Heather Ann McElroy in Steele on July 7, 2023. Salzer and McElroy were both wanted on felony warrants charging robbery 3rd degree and intimidating a witness. During the search DEU members recovered a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and firearms.

Kody Lee Salzer was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, robbery 3rd, possession of marijuana 2nd, intimidating a witness, and resisting arrest.

Heather McElroy was taken into custody and charged with robbery 3rd and intimidating a witness.

The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit is asking for the publics assistance with any information that will help lead to the arrest of an additional suspect Fidel Fonte Baker who is wanted for robbery 3rd, intimidating a witness and unlawful distribution of methamphetamine. Fidel is a 45 yo, b/m from the Ragland area of St. Clair County.
