The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office would like to announce the promotion of Sergeant Bart Lonergan to Patrol Captain of the Southern Division. Captain Lonergan attended Jacksonville State University and graduated with a degree in criminal justice. He began his law enforcement career in 1997.

Captain Lonergan worked at the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office for 18 years with 14 of those years in our criminal investigation division. He most recently was our Mental Health Sergeant.

Bart and his family are proud Pell City Panthers, and he is excited to begin his new role within the Sheriff's Office.  We appreciate his knowledge and experience and look forward to him sharing that with all our Sheriff's Office family.
